If you were born in Mississippi as one of four sisters -- like Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Beth Henley -- you've been smothered with Southern family. But for those who haven't had the experience, Henley has used her upbringing to write screen and stage hits like Crimes of the Heart, The Miss Firecracker Contest and Ridiculous Fraud, to name a few. Henley's latest is Laugh, a slapstick comedy coming to Theatre Three in Dallas. It's a Hollywood-caliber homage to '20s silent films with live music, mishaps, moxie and more. Laugh's set out West, but family's still at the center as a wealthy orphan is shipped off to a calculating aunt whose nephew is charged with seducing her and her fortune.
