Acclaimed storyteller, actor, writer and performer David Gonzalez brings his beloved production of The Frog Bride -- which the New York Times has called "enchanting" -- to the stage at Richardson's Eisemann Center for Performing Arts. A show for children and the child in us all, Gonzalez's Bride is a hip adaptation of the classic Russian tale. Accompanied by two musicians and their original, Prokofiev-infused jazz-funk score, Gonzalez relates the story of three princes who, at their father's urging, go out into the world to find and bring back their brides. Two of the brothers return with fair ladies, but the third comes home with a frog! Live video projection and moving images by painter Wassily Kandinsky provide the dynamic backdrop for this unique, engaging and thoroughly entertaining storytelling experience.
